Service Description

Kanso Renovation Studio provides comprehensive home renovation services including kitchen remodeling, bathroom renovation, living space design, and complete home makeovers. Our services include design consultation, project management, contractor coordination, permit assistance, and quality assurance.

All services are provided in accordance withese building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service at our discretion with appropriate notice to affected clients.

Project Agreements and Contracts

Each renovation project requires a separate written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, materials, costs, and specific terms. The contract becomes binding upon signature by both parties and receipt of the initial deposit.

Any changes to the original scope of work must be documented in writing and agreed upon by both parties. Additional costs resulting from scope changes will be clearly communicated and approved before implementation.

Payment Terms and Pricing

Payment schedules are outlined in individual project contracts and typically include an initial deposit, progress payments tied to project milestones, and final payment upon completion. All prices are quoted inese Yen and include applicable taxes unless otherwise specified.

Late payments may incur additional charges as specified in the contract. We reserve the right to suspend work on projects with overdue payments until accounts are brought current.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information about their property, obtaining necessary approvals from building management or homeowners associations, and ensuring access to the work site during agreed-upon hours.

Clients must promptly review and approve design plans, material selections, and change orders to avoid project delays. Any delays caused by client actions may result in schedule adjustments and additional costs.

Permits and Regulatory Compliance

We assist with obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with local building codes, but ultimate responsibility for permit approval lies with the property owner. Permit delays or rejections may affect project timelines and costs.

All work is performed in accordance withese building standards, seismic safety requirements, and local regulations. We cannot guarantee permit approval for projects that do not meet regulatory requirements.

Warranties and Guarantees

We provide a one-year warranty on workmanship for all completed projects, covering defects in installation and construction. Material warranties are provided by manufacturers and vary by product. Warranty coverage excludes normal wear and tear, damage from misuse, or modifications by others.

Warranty claims must be reported in writing within the warranty period. We will repair or replace defective work at our discretion and expense, but our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the total amount paid for the specific project. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or business interruption.

We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our operations, but clients are encouraged to verify their own insurance coverage for renovation projects and potential property damage.

Cancellation and Termination

Either party may terminate a project contract with written notice. Cancellation terms, including refund policies and charges for completed work, are specified in individual project contracts.

We reserve the right to terminate services immediately for non-payment, breach of contract, or unsafe working conditions. Clients may cancel projects but remain responsible for work completed and materials ordered.

Intellectual Property Rights

All design plans, drawings, and creative work produced by Kanso Renovation Studio remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients receive a license to use designs for their specific project but may not reproduce or distribute them without permission.

Clients retain ownership of their property and any improvements made during renovation. We may use photos of completed projects for marketing purposes with client consent.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or inability to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, labor disputes, material shortages, or other force majeure events.

In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to minimize delays and communicate with clients about revised timelines and any additional costs resulting from the circumstances.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in Tokyo, in accordance with the rules of the Commercial Arbitration Association.

These terms are governed byese law, and any legal proceedings must be conducted in the appropriate courts of Tokyo.

Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

Website Use and Restrictions

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use the website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services or interfere with other users' access to the website.

Unauthorized use of our website, including attempts to access restricted areas or systems, is prohibited and may result in legal action.
